Community Support
You are not your past.
When you’re struggling with anxiety, disconnection or feeling ‘stuck’ in a life that isn’t what you hoped for – it can be hard to pinpoint what is keeping you from moving forward.
In therapy, we work to unravel the connections between your history and your current life struggles. I help you examine your upbringing, cultural norms and the conflict you may be feeling about how you’re supposed to be living versus how you want to be living.
I help you transform & feel more in control of your life.
Are you struggling with...
- Guilt and shame
- Stress, burnout or overwhelm
- Suppressing your real self
- Frustration or resentment
- Intergenerational trauma or conflicts
- Anger, sadness or fear

Why work with My Shanti Space?
We each have a story, what’s yours?
I would be honoured to hold space with you, to hear that story. All too often this is too hard for us to do on our own.
As a natural helper, I’m here to listen, support and reflect while you explore your narrative. In our time together, you will have the openness to unfold and unpack, enlighten and transform, all those thoughts, emotions and situations that you have been holding onto.
I trust in the heart of talk therapy, where we can have an authentic conversation.
I believe that individuals can thrive, that they have the tenacity and willpower to make the necessary changes to make their lives how they envision it. I understand the struggles are real, we get tired, too busy, too overwhelmed, too everything…that eventually time passes and the feeling of ‘stuck’ remains.
My passion is helping others find peace, see their inner truth and uncover their authentic self. With over 30 years experience in the corporate sector and a Licensed Registered Psychotherapist, I believe in your capacity to thrive, harness your inherent strength and create the change you need to live the life you want.
Coming from a client-centered, holistic approach, I strive towards building a strong and trusted therapeutic relationship, with a non-judgmental and safe space for you to share your experiences and create a treatment plan that best suits your unique self.
This is your journey; taking a small step will still be a step in the right direction towards your wellness.
I Value:
- Self Awareness
- Self Compassion
- Self Love
– I hold space for the stories that you only tell yourself –
– Shanti

Meet Safiyaah
Safiyaah believes therapy is most meaningful when people feel safe, understood, and supported without judgment. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), she works with adults, teens (16+), and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and overwhelm.
Her approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based therapies including EFT, CBT, SFBT, and ACT. She supports clients in understanding emotional patterns, strengthening communication, and building practical tools for meaningful change in a supportive and empowering space.
Safiyaah is especially passionate about supporting the Indo-Caribbean community, South Asian diaspora, and Muslim community. What do therapy sessions look like?
Who do you work with?
I work with individuals 18+. I currently do not offer family or couples therapy, but I can refer you to therapists that do.
What are the common issues people come to therapy for?
Most people start coming to therapy because they can tell something is wrong or they want to talk and need a safe space to do so. You may be experiencing some symptoms that you’ve never felt before and in therapy I’m going to help you unravel those symptoms. And as a result, we start to unpack what your story is and how your experiences in life have started to impact your mental well-being, your physical well-being, and quality of life.

At its core, the program is about one thing: quality care that meets you exactly where you are.
